How It All Started
I started playing World of Warcraft back in 2006, right after The Burning Crusade was announced. I was living in Leeds at the time and working on a degree I wasn’t fully sure about. A few friends introduced me to the game, and before long, I was spending every spare hour in Azeroth. What started as a casual interest became a long-term hobby—and later, something more.
I remember making tons of mistakes early on. I picked the wrong talents, wore gear that didn’t match my role, and had no idea how to tank properly. But I learned by trying, failing, and asking questions. That learning process is part of why I created this site. I wanted to give other players a place to find clear answers—no hype, no fluff, just information that works.
Why I Built This Site
Over time, I found that most WoW content online either assumed you already knew everything or tried too hard to sound smart. I wanted something different. I wanted a site where real advice was shared in plain English—something you could read once and understand without re-reading it three times.
wunderbuzz.co.uk is the result of that idea. I write all the content myself, based on my own experience in-game. If I post a guide, it’s because I tested it. If I give a tip, it’s because I’ve used it. Everything on this site is based on real play, not second-hand info or guesswork.
How I Play
These days, I split my time between raid healing as a Resto Druid and running Mythic+ dungeons on a Windwalker Monk. I’ve played almost every class at some point, and I enjoy switching roles from time to time just to stay sharp. I also spend a good bit of time farming gold, helping guildmates, and running old content for fun.
I’m not a top-tier competitive player. I don’t stream or chase cutting-edge achievements. I play to enjoy the game, learn more about it, and help others do the same. That’s the same approach I take with this site—steady, honest, and focused on what works.
My Writing Style
Everything I write here is meant to be direct and useful. I avoid long intros, fancy words, and technical jargon. If something can be explained in five words instead of ten, I use five. I want this site to feel like you’re getting advice from a friend, not a lecture from a game manual.
Whether I’m breaking down a patch note or showing you how to make gold with gathering professions, I write each post with care. If I don’t fully understand something, I don’t write about it until I do.
A Bit About Me
I live in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, in a quiet flat close to the city centre. Outside of gaming, I work part-time in IT support and spend the rest of my time writing, reading, or walking. I like cold weather, early mornings, and a good cup of strong tea.
My writing setup is simple: a custom PC, a reliable headset, and a second screen for notes. Most of my writing happens before noon, and most of my gaming happens late in the evening—usually with guildmates I’ve known for years.
