Dries Van Noten – Spring Summer 2009
The 8th issue of Acne Paper is out. This time the theme is eroticism.
“One of the complexities of dealing with eroticism, as this issue of Acne Paper does, is its truly individual character. What awakes one person’s desire is another’s boredom, dislike or even repulsion” – writes Thomas Persson the Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director.
Acne Paper is one of my favorite magazines and I love the idea of only one theme in the whole magazine. I’ve picked out some of the sections in the magazine that show how the erotic theme is incorporated.
POP cph started hosting parties in 2005 with big succes and dragged many people from the fashion industry out to dance. Then – inspired by all the parties and fashionable people – the two guys started their own fashion line for men & women in 2008. Here’s the Summer 2009 collection. They describe it like this:
“POP’s Summer is a soft cruise to Miami with disco on the radio and a pastel pink sunset mirrored in the shades. Vespa Blue & Miami Peach, Black & White and Bright Sand in soft cashmere knits, light whool blazers, shiny night jackets, satin jeans, slim classic chinos and simple basics.”
You probably have noticed the fashion brand; COS. They are established by H&M to create high-quality essential pieces. I love the idea to create good quality clothes to a fair price. This is photos from their Spring/Summer 2009 catalogue.
