Am I the only one who misses the Madonna Vogue days? Yes, she was ballsy back then and wore mens clothes, but she was a real woman!

Sonja Rykiel for H&M

Miss Rykiel herself, a photo I believe was taken by Andy Warhol.

Nathalie Rykiel just confirmed that Sonja Rykiel will be the next guest designer for H&M. Beautiful, knitted Sonja Rykiel clothing made affordable by H&M is enough to make my winter.

The 18 year old daughter of Sting Coco, is a busy young lady. After being the face of Burberry she signed a record deal to make 6 albums. I found this beautiful picture of her in the latest issue of Love Magazine.

Fashion Week is coming up in New York (September 10th) and in honor of that, I decided to post some pictures from Fashion Week in Feburary. Mattell sponsored the event with a celebration of Barbie’s 50th birthday. The show included 50 Barbie outfits by top designers, including Diane Von Furstenberg and Marchesa.

Humbert & Lolita

There are various reasons why I love Lolita. I read the book by Nabokov when I was 18 and was so infatuated with the story and the depth of Russian literature that I stayed home several Saturday nights just to read it. Furthermore I’m a Police fan, I’m especially fond of “Don’t Stand So Close To Me” in which there is a clear reference to the story. Last but not least Stanley Kubrick is brilliant and I think the outfits in the movie are so perfect, also in the remake from 1997:

Double Magazine

I love this fun shoe editorial in Double by Fred Lebian and Ines Fendri. Jimmy Choo, Prada, Hogan, Vivienne Westwood, Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent.

Give us money, we are pretty

Don’t know where this came from, but it looks like an exhibition in the 1960′s. Does anyone know what, who, where, when?
