Over the past year London College of Fashion have been working with the English National Ballet on a project which examines the Ballet Russes and the incredible legacy of Diaghilev on art, fashion and dance. The project involved a number of students across a range of disciplines and the resulting collections are to be showcased in a special one night only event on Friday 19th November at the V&A with an exclusive performance by ballet dancers from ENB showcasing the student collections.
Students were required to form their ideas by examining contemporary and historical fashion and engaging directly with the Ballets Russes, researching costumes in the V&A collections, the performances, the movement, music, and wonderment of fashion and costume.
