We have seen the dip-dye trend at many catwalks for the Spring 2009 collections, and I also think tie-dye will be a new trend in the Spring/Summer 2009.

In 2009 it’s 50 years since girls have started playing with the famous Barbie doll.
Christian Louboutin will thus pay his respects via a special collection of Louboutin heels paying homage to the iconic doll and they’ll reportedly be colored Barbie Pantone 219 Pink. The collection of heels are set to debut at a Barbie-inspired runway presentation at New York Fashion Week in February. Jeremy Scott will also produce a clothing collection inspired by Barbie which will have an exclusive debut at Colette on March 12th during Paris fashion week.
To show how much that has changed in 50 years I have found the very first Barbie commercial from 1959.
